Actions for Plant Regeneration Along the Treviso-Ostiglia Cycle Path

02 December 2024

Avviso cantiere lungo la ciclovia Treviso-Ostiglia

UPDATE - December 2

Starting today, Monday, December 2, regeneration works on the linear forest of the Treviso-Ostiglia cycle path are underway. The works will affect the municipality of Campodoro: the first stretch of the cycle path will be closed for one kilometer, from Via Pasini to Via Municipio.

NOTICE - November 20

We inform all users of the Treviso-Ostiglia cycle path that, to allow extraordinary maintenance and regeneration works on the linear forest, the route will be interrupted by a mobile construction site in the Padua section for the coming weeks.

The construction site will begin on November 27, and alternative routes will be available, marked with appropriate arrows. We urge everyone to pay close attention to the signage, follow its instructions, and avoid accessing the construction site, where machinery will be operating to secure the vegetation, posing risks of falling debris.

Planned Interventions
The works, carried out as part of a project promoted by the Province of Padua and entrusted to forestry professionals, aim to ensure the health of the forest. Specifically:

  • Dead, leaning, or invasive trees and branches that could pose a risk to users will be removed.
  • Selective thinning will be performed to promote the growth of native species and strengthen the forest's structure.
  • Sustainable vegetation management will be implemented, in agreement with and approved by the Forest Service of the Veneto Region, to preserve the vitality and longevity of the forest environment.

These interventions aim to regenerate the forest, encouraging natural plant development and improving the ecosystem’s stability to ensure the cycle path remains safe and enjoyable in the long term.

A Special Invitation
We invite you to take this opportunity to rediscover the cycle path with fresh eyes, appreciating not only its natural beauty but also the dedicated effort behind its care and protection.
